Where we hang in Roswell

If you’re looking for family friendly activities in Roswell, GA—or just ways to connect with the community—here’s our two cents. When we’re not firing up the smoker on the weekends, you can find us exploring our favorite local hangouts as a family.

1. Heart & Seoul Café

Close to City Hall and Roswell Library, Heart & Seoul is a cozy, family-owned Korean café founded by sisters, Jeany and Julie. Their artistic touch shines in every dish, each pastry, and the overall vibe of the space. (No joke: our three-year-old daughter thinks it’s as magical as Disneyworld!) So if you're looking for a family café in Roswell that doubles as a local creative hub, this is it.

2. Recess in Roswell

If you’ve ever been inspired by the way European piazzas act as a community hub, Recess brings that same energy to Roswell. It’s a brilliant blend: toddlers can run wild on the playground with snacks in hand, while parents sit and relax over a Valor cold brew or refreshing cocktail. Food trucks and rotating drink specials keep each visit fresh. It’s one of our go-to weekend escapes for both kid fun and adult downtime.

3. Roswell Farmer’s Market

We’re just a stroller-ride away from City Hall, where the Farmer’s Market now sets up on Saturday mornings. We walk over for the coffee and produce, and usually end up on the lawn listening to live music. Activities like face-painting, balloon art, and crafts keep the kids busy, and nine times out of ten we bump into friends from church, daycare or one of our other local spots.

4. Home Church

Our church, Home Church, meets at Vickery Mill Elementary. It’s more than just a place to gather on Sunday mornings; it’s part of the neighborhood fabric. Once a month, instead of a traditional service, the whole congregation volunteers at local schools or nonprofits. It’s powerful to see faith in action and a beautiful way to teach community values to our son and daughter.

For us, Roswell isn’t just a place to live—it’s a place where we connect, grow, and share meals and memories. So if you're looking for family-friendly things to do in Roswell, rest assured that these spots are toddler-tested and approved. And when you need someone to cater your next event with genuine soul (and smoked brisket)—we’ve got you covered.
